Praise Tabernacle is a teaching ministry whose mission is to equip the people of God to work the work of God through the Word of God by the aid of the Holy Spirit.
The Christian Education Department is the strong arm of the church that seeks to promote elevation and righteousness in Christ in every aspect of life through the knowledge of the Word of God. The Christian Education Department encompasses:
TE’HILLAH SCHOOL OF URBAN MINISTRY CENTER FOR CHRISTIAN LEARNING
Conveniently located in the heart of Jamaica, Te’Hillah School of Urban Ministry, a separate entity, is a Bible institute that provides a broad range of Bible studies with emphasis in the Word of God. Beginner’s classes are available as well as advanced classes leading to degree programs. The Te’Hillah School of Urban Ministry, a subsidiary of Praise Tabernacle, Inc. was established in 1997 under the leadership of Pastor, Bishop Caesar R. Cabiness.
The school offers victorious Christian living Bible studies that are designed to minister the dynamic truth of God’s Word. The curriculum includes a broad range of Bible subjects with emphasis on problems surrounding urban living. Our Bible teaching program incorporates a systematic plan of learning, intended to facilitate Bible study at an appropriate level for all persons who will respond to a church’s invitation. Te’Hillah School of Urban Ministry provides students with knowledge of biblical tools and study methods that enable them, as they seek God in prayer, to uncover the deep treasures of His Word. Lives are spiritually elevated in Christ Jesus bringing about the ability to conquer the challenges we face from day to day.
MINISTRY EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES
LEADERSHIP SUMMIT SESSIONS
Praise Tabernacle also provides Christian education through Leadership Training and Development Summit Sessions. The summit sessions are designed to enable leaders through biblically-based instructions to become more knowledgeable, effective, and strengthened in ministry. Leaders are taught organizational skills founded in the Word of God. Opportunity is also granted through these sessions to address any current issues needing attention within the church body. Leadership Summit sessions are held monthly.
MINISTRY DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS
Ministry development sessions is a new educational tool intended to strengthen laity in the faith and train and develop them in ministry.
NEW CONVERTS & NEW MEMBERS TRAINING
The Christian Education Department is responsible for providing instructions to individuals newly converted in the faith as well as individuals who are new to the church. Instruction is given on the ordinances of the church, ministry, church life, and our daily Christian walk.
SUMMER BIBLE SCHOOL
Summer Bible School sessions will be held from July to August as scheduled. More information to follow.
CHILDREN’S CHURCH
Children’s Church offers youth ages 4 to 11 their own environment where they can freely express worship and praise to God. The children are provided opportunity to read scripture, pray, and bring forth the word in services fashioned for them. The staff works hard to teach the children who Jesus is, how He loves them and what he has done for them. Children’s Church meets Sunday mornings during Morning Worship Service.
MID-WEEK FELLOWSHIP TRAINING & INSTRUCTIONS
Further instructions in Christian education are conducted in our wid-week fellowship WOW (Worship on Wednesday) service at 7:00 PM via zoom, and streamed on our facebook page. Emphasis is placed on how to rightly divide the Word of God using the proper tools. Students are given assignments to research and are able to present their findings in the services allowing for growth and comfortability in the classroom student/ teacher setting,
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sunday School classes currently take place weekly on Saturday nights at 7:00 PM on zoom. Classes are provided for men, women, teens, and youth. Classes are designed to teach students the word of God and help them make application of the lesson in day to day living. Special sessions are held as scheduled which addresses the issues of life.
